Women in the U.S. Senate

Womeninthesenate_1Documentary photographer Melina Mara tailed female Senators around Capitol Hill for the past three years.  The result is a photo exhibit (soon to be book) of breathtaking images featured in online magazine The Digital Journalist this month.  Here's Mara's photo gallery, here's the full feature.

This isn't directly related to technology, but Mara's photographs are an interesting study of women in the male-dominated arena (in this case, politics.)

Full disclosure:  I help produce The Digital Journalist.

Great post. Great articule. Great website. Those capture moments of the United States most fearsome government women had me sitting in awe and it also made me proud.
