Choosing Conferences
I just posted on Many-to-Many about why I ended up at SXSW this year instead of Etech. (Hint: Caterina's post has a lot to do with it.)

Smart choice! Nice to be at a conference where there are numerous other women, as opposed to conferences like this: http://islandia.law.yale.edu/isp/GlobalFlow/speakers.html (You'll see four out of thirty-one female faces, but only two are actually speakers, the other two are moderators.) The MANdate of the conference? To "explore...emerging patterns of information flow, and their political, economic, social, and cultural consequences." Also, apparently, to minimize exposure to "girl germs."

I appreciate that you keep this blog going and allow comments. To me feedback is an interesting part of a blog
